An Introductory Training program on Internet of Things

Training programme on Internet of Things is being organized by the Intelligent Machines and Systems Laboratory (IMSL) of the Department of Electronics, Cochin University of Science and Technology

Internet of Things is a rapidly growing, solution oriented area with applications in manufacturing, agriculture, aerospace, mining and medicine. This one week training programme is intended to disseminate the expertise and knowledge generated in IMSL among the young robotic enthusiasts to learn, build as well as to develop the skills in the state-of- the-art Internet of Things platforms. The participants shall be provided with a basic platform, which can be taken to their home/institution for further experimentations. The participants will be given personalized attention during the realization process.

Intelligent Machines and Systems Laboratory aims to work on the futuristic tools, techniques and systems for the control of mobile and industrial robots. The areas of research span Reconfigurable Systems, Underwater Navigation & Guidance Systems, Machine Vision, Training & Rehabilitation Aids, Vibration Analysis, Human-Machine Interface and Distributed Robotic Systems. The research activities of IMSL focus on the development of algorithms for the control and coordination of Multi-robot systems through connectivity control as well as task allocations for distributed robotic systems. The laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art hardware/software platforms and sub-systems for a broad spectrum of robotic applications.
